Mark Keene is entering his 14th year in music education. He is the Assistant Band Director at Mayde Creek High School. Prior to coming to Mayde Creek High School, Mr. Keene taught at Mayde Creek Junior High in Katy, Lake Jackson Intermediate School in Lake Jackson and Quail Valley Middle School in Missouri City. His teaching responsibilities include directing the Symphonic Band, the Cadet Band and assisting with the Wind Symphony and Concert Band One. In 1994, he graduated from Texas Tech University, earning his Bachelors Degree in Music Education. While at Texas Tech, he performed as a member of the Symphonic Band, the Symphony Orchestra, and the Goin’ Band from Raider Land. He graduated from Coronado High School in Lubbock, Texas where he was a student of Phil Anthony and Anthony Gibson. Professional affiliations include, TMEA, TBA, Kappa Kappa Psi, and Phi Mu Alpha. Mr. Keene is supported by his wife Deanna and their two sons, Patrick and Michael.
